Getting Started

Quick Start Guide

Create your account and your church, finish the short setup, find your way around the admin, then pick the first thing to launch.

Getting started takes three stages: create your account and your church, answer three short setup questions, then land in your admin dashboard. Your website goes live as part of this, with your service times on it, so take a moment over each step.

Create your account and your church

1

Sign in or create an account

Start at Create your church website on hubl.life. The first screen is Sign In / Create Account. If you already have a Hubl account, for example from registering for an event, sign in with it.
2

Church Info

Enter your church’s name and choose the Organization Type: Church, Community Group, or School. The address is required. Start typing and pick it from the suggestions, because a typed address that is not chosen from the list is not accepted. Phone number and a short description are optional.

Warning

Existing Website is for churches keeping their current site. Hubl links to it in emails and sends visitors there. Leave it empty if Hubl will be your website.
3

Branding

Choose your brand colors and, if you have one, upload a logo. The defaults are fine for now. You can change both later.
4

Website

Add a cover image, a headline, a subheadline and a few lines about your church. For the cover image, the step suggests real people rather than an empty building.
5

Review, then Create Church

Check what you entered and choose Create Church. That creates your church and takes you into setup.

Finish setup

Setup is three steps: Services, Staff and Photos. Each has Skip for now — I’ll do this later. If you skip, coming back to setup picks up at the first step you have not finished.

1

Services

When does your church meet? A Sunday Worship service, weekly from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, is filled in to start you off. Change the name, day, how often it repeats and the times, add a location if it helps, and use Add another service for each other gathering. These show on your website straight away.
2

Staff

Add the people visitors should recognise: a name, a title or role, an optional photo and a short bio. They appear in the Meet Our Team section of your website. At least one is needed to continue.
3

Photos

Add photos of your church’s life: people greeting each other, worship, meals, kids’ programs, volunteers serving. The step suggests leaving out empty buildings, empty rooms and parking lots. Choose Finish setup.

Find your way around the admin

The has seven areas: Overview, People, Ministry (events, check-in, streaming and outreach), Giving, Communication, Website and Settings. Schools also have Academics. You only see the areas your role can reach. On a phone, open the navigation menu.

1

Open an area

Choose an area, such as People, to see all of its tools. Choose Back to overview to return to the list of areas.
2

Jump straight to a tool

Choose Jump to… and type a tool’s name. On a keyboard, press Cmd K on a Mac or Ctrl K on Windows or Linux.
3

Follow the breadcrumb

The trail above each page shows where you are, such as Admin → Ministry → Streaming. Choose an earlier part to go back to it. To manage an event, open Ministry → Events and choose the event’s Manage action.

Note

A tool with a lock is not in your plan. Choosing it explains what an upgrade adds. Help → How it works draws your whole setup as a map: what visitors see, how your people connect, and which tools you have.

What to launch first

Pick the one your church needs most, and leave the rest for later:
