Signup sheets: see all form responses in one table

Line up every response to a form as a table, count who picked each choice, and download it as a spreadsheet.

For a signup sheet, a potluck or a volunteer list, you need everyone's answers at once, not one response at a time. The summary puts every response to a form in one table and counts the choices for you.

Open the summary

1

Open the form's responses

From Forms, open the form you want to look at.
2

Select Summary

At the top of the form, switch from Responses to Summary. Each response becomes a row and each question becomes a column, newest first.

Count who picked what

Questions where people choose from a list, such as a dropdown, multiple choice or checkboxes, get a count above the table. Each choice shows how many people picked it, including choices nobody picked yet, so you can see at a glance that three people are bringing dessert and no one has signed up for drinks.

Tip

The counts and the table follow the Inbox, Unread and Archived tabs. Archive responses from last year's event to keep this year's totals clean.

Download it as a spreadsheet

Select Download CSV to get the same table as a file you can open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. It includes each person's name, email and when they sent it, followed by every answer.

Go from the table to a person

Select a name to read that full response. To put the people who answered into your directory, see Add people from form responses.
