Choosing a Site Theme

Pick Classic, Flat, or Glass for your public website look — without changing your church brand color.

A site theme controls how cards, buttons, and panels look across your whole organization — public pages and the admin dashboard — so everything feels cohesive. Choose hard raised blocks, quiet flat surfaces, or frosted glass. It is separate from your website design layout (Conversation Starter, Bento Grid, and so on) and separate from your organization brand color.

Note

Changing the theme updates both the public site and admin tools. Your content, layout, and brand color stay the same — only the surface treatment changes.

The three themes

Classic

The default. Thick dark borders, cream backgrounds, and chunky hard shadows — the raised-block look most Hubl sites use today.

Flat

Quieter and more minimal. Shadows drop away, borders get thinner, and hover states use a soft tint instead of a lift. Good when you want less visual noise.

Glass

Frosted translucent panels over a soft gradient backdrop. Shadows become soft ambient depth instead of hard blocks. Best on photo-forward landing pages.

How to pick a theme

1

Open the website editor

From your , open your / landing page editor so you are previewing the public site with edit controls visible.
2

Open the theme picker

In the editor toolbar, open the site theme control (it lists Classic, Flat, and Glass). This is separate from the design/layout name next to it.
3

Preview and save

Switch themes to preview live. Your content, photos, and brand color stay put — only surface treatment changes. Save when you like the look.

Tip

Your organization brand color (buttons, logo accent, active nav) is unchanged by site theme. Themes only restyle panels and chrome.

What does not change

  • Page layout / design template
  • Your church name, photos, and copy
  • Organization brand color

Warning

Printed pages and some email previews stay Classic on purpose so hard-copy and inbox clients remain reliable.
