Managing Your Photo Gallery
Upload and reuse photos, choose where they appear, and correct an awkward crop.
Upload a photo once, then reuse it on your website, events, and outreach projects. You need editing access for the page or item whose photos you want to manage.
Choose or upload a website photo
Open the photo picker
Upload or select a photo
Finish the selection
For website changes, select Save draft to keep the choice private or Publish to make it visible to visitors.
Choose a community photo layout
In the Welcome, Pulse, and Broadsheet website layouts, select Edit Photoson the community photo strip. Choose all the photos you want to include, then choose Carousel, Collage, or Animated collage under Photo layout and select Done. All layouts keep every selected photo in the gallery.
For Carousel, set Photos visible at once to 1, 2, or 3. When there are more photos than fit, the carousel advances every four seconds. Visitors can swipe or use the arrows, pause the slideshow, and tap a photo to view it larger with its caption. Automatic movement pauses while hovering, using the controls, or viewing a larger photo; it stays off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
Collage shows up to four fitted photos in a compact grid, with a count of any extra photos. Visitors can tap a photo to open the full gallery, then swipe or use the arrows to browse every photo and its caption.
Animated collage gently fades between photos every four seconds, keeping the grid in place. It pauses while you hover, use the controls, or view a photo larger. Visitors can pause it themselves; it stays still when reduced motion is preferred or the collage is offscreen.

Note
If a photo still looks wrong
- A Portrait warning means a tall photo may crop heavily in banners and strips. Use a landscape version or crop it before publishing.
- If an upload fails, try a supported image format and upload fewer than 10 photos at once.
- If a website photo is correct in the editor but not public, publish the website changes and check again as a visitor.
