Switch scenes and put text on screen

Below the preview in the Control Room are two rows. Scenes decide the whole look of the broadcast. Text puts words on top of whatever scene is showing. Both can be set up before you go live and changed at any time during the service. Viewers see a change straight away.

Scenes

Tap a scene to switch to it:

Before service — a countdown to the start time.
Camera — the speaker, full frame.
Screen — slides or lyrics, full frame.
Speaker + slides — the camera, with the slides in a small inset.
Slides + speaker — the slides, with the camera in a small inset.
Image — a graphic from your church’s photo gallery, such as a welcome slide.
Backdrop — a plain color or gradient.
Giving — a QR code and link to your giving page. It only appears once online giving is set up.

A scene that needs a source you have not added yet is unavailable. For example, the slide scenes need a screen and the camera scenes need a camera. Before you go live, the scene you tap becomes the one marked Opening on, which is what viewers see first.

Tip

Before service counts down to the service’s start time. To count down to something else, open the gear and type a different number of minutes under Countdown.

Which camera or screen is used

If you have added more than one, the Inputs list on the left decides which one the camera scenes show. Click a different input to switch.

Text on screen

Choose New in the Text row and pick a kind:

Name / role — a lower third, such as the speaker’s name and “Lead Pastor”.
Free text — a headline and one sentence, for an announcement.
Ticker — a line that scrolls along the bottom, such as “Text GIVE to 55555”.
Scripture — a Bible verse. If the service has a sermon with verses attached, they are offered at the top so you can add them with one tap.

Write it once

The editor opens as soon as you create the item. Fill it in. It is saved for your church, so next week the same lower third is already there, whichever computer runs the stream.

Tap it to show it

Tap an item to put it on screen, and tap again to take it off. A name, a verse or a message share one spot, so showing one replaces the other. The ticker has its own spot and can run at the same time.

Edit or delete

Use the edit button on an item to change the words or delete it.

Note

The Countdown · Corner badge is the small countdown in the corner. Tap it to turn it on or off. It says No target when there is no start time to count toward.

When two people run the stream

If a second person joins the same broadcast from another device, the top bar tells them Contributing — host controls the scene. They can add their camera or screen, but scenes, text and the choice of camera stay with the person who went live. When they are finished they leave the broadcast; only the host can end it.
